Despite prior interventions by BSEED, the recurrence of derelict vehicles and general property neglect remains unabated. Settlement in lawsuit of Vernell Pass as personal representative of the Estate of Carl Rene Brunner II, Deceased; Case No: 22-cv-10391, File No: L22-00392 (JLA) We have already approved this settlement for $95,000.00 on January 30, 2024. We, therefore, request the Resolution be corrected for name only to Vernell Pass as the Personal Representative of the Estate of Carl Rene Brunner II, Deceased. 

Settlement in lawsuit of Tyler Wells v City of Detroit; Case No. 23-000892-NI, File No. L23-00100 (JSH) Department of Transportation, , in the amount of ($45,000.00) in full payment for any and all claims which Tyler Wells may have against the City of Detroit and any other City of Detroit employees by reason of alleged injuries sustained. 

Settlement in lawsuit of Northland Radiology, Inc. (Berry Smith-Relf) v City of Detroit; Case No. 23-012462-NF, File No. L23-00622 (SVD) A20000 Department of Transportation), in the amount of ($15,000.00) in full payment for any and all claims which Northland Radiology, Inc. may have against the City of Detroit and any other City of Detroit employees by reason of treatment provided to Berry Smith-Relf for alleged injuries sustained on or about 12/11/2022. 

To amend Chapter 1 of the 2019 Detroit City Code, General Provisions, by amending Section 1-1-11, Severability of parts of code, in order to ensure clarity in the 2019 Detroit City Code and avoid terms that unintentionally conflict with legislative intent. INTRODUCE

Resolution and Extension Agreement relating to DMC Renaissance Zone Extension.  (Attached please find a Resolution Supporting and Approving an Application of the County of Wayne and an Agreement Related to the Renaissance Zone Extension of the Midtown Hospital Campus Subzone.  This Resolution and accompanying Extension Agreement is related to the recent request by the Detroit Medical Center (“DMC”) for support of its efforts in seeking legislative approval to extend the Renaissance Agreement covering their midtown medical center campus for 15 years. Currently that legislation (HB 5096) has been passed by both the House and Senate and is awaiting House concurrence with Senate amendments before being sent to the Governor for approval. Under the legislation, support from the City is required prior any amendment of the existing Renaissance Zone by the Michigan Strategic Fund (“MSF”).)
