To amend Chapter 50 of the 2019 Detroit City Code, Zoning, by amending Article XVII, Zoning District Maps, Section 50-17-58, District Map No. 56, to revise the zoning: classification for two parcels generally bound by West Grand River Avenue to the north, Burnette Street to the east, I-96 Jeffries Freeway to the south, and Prairie Street to the west, commonly known as 9715 Burnette Street and 10141 West Grand River Avenue, from their existing R1 (Single-Family Residential District) and B2 (Local Business and Residential District) zoning classifications, respectively, to the B4 (General Business District) zoning classification for each parcel. Recommendation for Deferral - 19442 James Couzens. (A special inspection conducted on November 14, 2024 revealed that the building is secured and appears to be sound and repairable. The owner has paid all taxes and is current. The proposed use of the property is owner’s use and occupancy. This is the 2nd deferral request for this property. Therefore, we respectfully recommended that the demolition order be deferred for a period of six months.)
