To amend and renumbers Chapter 18 of the 2019 Detroit City Code, Fire Prevention and Protection, Article I, Detroit Fire Prevention and Protection Code by amending, Division 1, Composition, Purpose, and Scope of Code, Section 18-1-1, Composition, to make technical corrections necessary to update language from the 2015 NFPA to the 2021 NFPA, and Section 18-1-3, Scope, to make technical corrections necessary to update language from the 2015 NFPA to the 2021 NFPA and add factors which are considered prima facia evidence of compliance with this Code; By amending Division 2, National Fire Protection Association Fire Code and Amendment Thereof, Section 18-1-21, Adoption, to make technical corrections necessary to update language from the 2015 NFPA to the 2021 NFPA, and Section 18-1-22, Amendments and Changes, by adding 1.7.12-1.7.12.10, 1.7.14, 1.7.15, 1.7.17-1.7.17.3, 1.14, 3.3.43, 3.3.44, 3.3.68-3.3.68.3, 3.3.135, 3.3.198-3.3.198.15, 20.1.1.3-20.1.1.8, and 20.2-20.2.2.6, by amending 1.7, and 1.7.7.7,and by renumbering and making technical corrections to 1.7.7.7(13)-(56), 1.10.3,1.10.3.1, 1.10.5, 1.16.1, 3.3.199.32-3.3.199.32-A.2, 13.1.14, and 10.1.1 for the purpose of updating the division to incorporate the 2021 Fire Code, as amended; By amending Division 3, Finishing, Resurfacing and Refinishing of Bowling Lanes, and Reconditioning and Resurfacing of Bowling Pins, Section 18-1-43, Bowling lane resurfacing, to make technical corrections necessary to update language from the 2015 NFPA to the 2021 NFPA; By amending Division 4, Fireworks and Pyrotechnics, Section 18-1-65, Permit for public display fireworks or articles pyrotechnic, to make technical corrections necessary to update language from the 2015 NFPA to the 2021 NFPA; and By amending Division 9, Storage, Handling, and Use of Ethylene Oxide for Fumigation and For Fruit and Crop Ripening, Section 18-1-161, Purpose, to update the purpose to act in concert with NFPA 55, Compressed Gases and Cryogenic Fuels Code, Chapter 14- Storage, Handling and Use of Ethylene Oxide for Sterilization and Fumigation, 2020 Edition, and Section 18-1-164, Permits, to make necessary technical changes to make necessary technical changes for the purpose of updating the Code to reference the 2021 NFPA.  (Law and Detroit Fire Departments)
